The AirAsia (Berhad) flight from Kuala Lumpur was welcomed by the Yangon Aerodrome Company Limited (YACL), which operates at Yangon International Airport at 8:10 am on 3 June.
Domestic and international flights were reopened to boost tourism and revitalize domestic travel and facilitate the flow of goods abroad during the period of COVID-19.
With the arrival of international airlines, AirAsia (Berhad) Flight No. 505 will fly twice a week, with direct flights to Kuala Lumpur and Yangon on Mondays and Fridays.
Passengers can browse https://www.facebook.com/airasiasuperapp.mm/ for more information on AirAsia (Berhad)’s arrival flight, officials said.
Due to the global epidemic, international flights were temporarily suspended at Yangon International Airport in 2020. The flight resumed on 17 April 2022. With 72,540 departures and 20,991 flights operated, YACL expects to increase the number of passengers and flights at Yangon International Airport this year. — Nyein Thu (MNA)
