A community Centre is a place of public interest, where people can seek help and service is provided through cooperation. Additionally, this is also a place where people can learn and exchange knowledge and seek necessary information for discussions on matters of regional interest, said Mahn Nyein Maung, a member of the State Administration Council.
He mentioned above at a ceremony held at Plot 1 of Myokwetthit Ward in Pantanaw Township, Ayeyawady Region yesterday to break the ground for the construction of a community centre.
Addressing those attending the ground-breaking ceremony, Mahn Nyein Maung explained how effort is being exerted for the construction of the community centre in order that the centre can produce the human resources that will bring benefit to the region.
The community centre will include a public library, a meeting room, a training hall, a reading room for the children and a fitness centre. He went on to say that the administration institutions, the departments concerned and the local people are required to exert concerted effort to ensure the emergence of a quality community centre, to sustain and further develop the centre. Afterwards, he expressed his appreciation to all who have rendered their part to enable the construction of the community centre, said Mahn Nyein Maung, a member of SAC.
At the ground-breaking ceremony, State Administration Council Member Mahn Nyein Maung, Regional Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win, South-West Command Commander Maj-Gen Aung Aung, Regional Government members and the responsible personnel drove the wedge at the designated places respectively at the prescribed time. Then, they all splashed the scented water. Afterwards, the person in charge of the company which will construct the community centre explained their plan and the work progress. — MNA
