Confiscated illegal items: Timbers, industrial materials, machinery, motorbikes and vehicles

The combined team managed by the Mandalay Illegal Trade Eradication Task Force impounded five kinds of goods worth K64.2 million, including 18 Lenovo Intel laptops without official documents, at the GI coach station in Mandalay on 17 December. The action was taken under Customs procedures.
The on-duty team supervised by the Nay Pyi Taw Council Territory Illegal Trade Eradication Task Force nabbed two unregistered vehicles (Nissan Elgrand and Mitsubishi Elardis) valued at K34 million in Pobbathiri township on the same day. The action was conducted under the Export and Import Law.
On 18 December, the combined teams confiscated 11.569 tonnes of illegal timbers worth K1.735 million and a Kamax three-wheel motorbike (estimated value of K1.5 million) in Pakokku township, 0.534 tonne of illegal timbers valued at K267,200 in Minhla township, 2.421 tonnes of illegal timbers valued at K164,026 in Pwintphyu and Salin townships and 1.247 tonnes of illegal timbers worth K106,674 in Natmauk and Taungtwingyi townships. The action was conducted under the Forest Law.
Also on 18 December, the joint teams captured two Volvo machines (approximately worth K240 million) without official documents at the Sakhata 8 combined checkpoint in Shwebo township and two unregistered motorbikes (estimated value of K 400,000) in Kanbalu township. The action was taken under the Export and Import Law.
Fifteen arrests were made on 17 and 18 December, with an estimated value of K342.373 million, as reported by the Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee. — MNA/MKKS
