Construction of elevator tower at Mann Shwesettaw Pagoda completes 74%

The construction of elevator tower and skywalk Way Bridge was completed by 74 per cent, said U Than Lwin, construction project manager.
The construction phase-1 of the elevator tower (lift tower and walkway bridge) is being prepared to concrete for the elevator wall of the C3 column and lift tower which is 24.5 meters high. For the second part of the lift walkway bridge, the steel handrails, iron installation and roofing have been conducted. For the third part of the elevator walkway, the walkway braces will be installed in next coming days while the remaining project will be carried out. So far, 74 per cent of the construction project have been completed and it will be completed in January 2022, said the project manager.

Upon completion of the project, two elevators will be installed as phases-2 with the allowance of about K2,300. Each elevator in the pagoda can carry a maximum of 20 persons. The Mann Shwesettaw Pagoda project started on 29 June 2021 and will complete on 9 January 2022, according to Mann Shwesettaw Pagoda’s board of trustees. — Maung Maung (Minbu)/GNLM
