Curfew revoked temporarily during New Year’s Eve night

The Yangon Region government announced on 29 December that the night curfew issued under Section 144 of the Criminal Code has been temporarily cancelled on New Year’s Eve on 31 December.
On the night of New Year’s Day, 31 December, the Yangon Region government organized a programme in Yangon. An International New Year’s Countdown Party is planned to be held in the People’s Square and fireworks will be set off at the time of the New Year. The stage shows will also be organized in a proper manner.
Therefore, the curfew issued under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code will be temporary cancellation from midnight on 31 December to 4 am on 1 January 2023 and the public would be widely informed. — TWA/KZW
