Detained Myanmar migrants at Ranong IDC to be returned in Feb

After the demonstration of Myanmar migrant workers on 28 January, officials led by Myanmar Embassy Labour Attaché U Tin Aung and IDC officials negotiated with leaders of Myanmar migrant workers who were detained at the Ranong Immigration Detention Centre (IDC), Myanmar Embassy to Thailand stated on 30 January.
Out of 600 detained migrants at IDC, 220 migrants will be repatriated to Myanmar on 2 February and the rest on 8 and 15 February, respectively.
The Myanmar Embassy in Bangkok expressed thanks to those who reported the events and situations about Myanmar migrant workers to it through social media. — TWA/MKKS
