Don’t lessen vigorous efforts for survival in COVID-19 period

A large volume of health devices to be used in fighting against COVID-19 has been flowing into Myanmar since 1 July 2021. Before that date, the inflow volume for protective gears for COVID-19 was very small in addition to lesser amounts of medicines and medical equipment under the restricted import rules amid the security tighten imposed by neighbouring countries at border areas because of the pandemic.
Before the outbreak of the third wave of COVID-19, everybody didn’t take care of danger. Although the news on infection of COVID-19 in many countries spread across the nation through various media especially in social media, most of the Myanmar people did not look at the future prospect. The government repeatedly warned the people to take care of prevention, protection and treatment against COVID-19 but people did not have frightening in their minds.

The government and the private sector are marching forward together. For the time being, the infection rate is remarkably declining. The two should not halt making concerted efforts to battle the pandemic. The ending of the third wave will be nearer and nearer.

As of early July, the third wave of the pandemic started hammering Myanmar. The people woke up to commence preparation tasks but it was too late. The Saturn pandemic has completely gripped the neck of the people who were unable to struggle for survival.
During the two months in July and August, the terribly high infection rate of COVID-19 plucked many lives of the people. Hundreds of untimely lives are lost on a daily basis. The pandemic suppressed businesses, health conditions and social affairs of the people. Victims of COVID-19 poured out vigorous efforts to be able to secure the normal situation.
The period was the most important for the entire people to defy the brutal attacks of COVID-19. The government encourages businesspersons and various organizations to import useful medicines and medical equipment in curing COVID-19 patients by easing import restrictions. From then on, medical devices including oxygen cylinders and bowsers flow into Myanmar for saving many lives. The government has allowed private clinics and hospitals to take responsibility for treating the COVID-19 patients and import COVID-19 vaccines. Meanwhile, the government tried to purchase the vaccines from neighbouring countries so as to vaccinate the people with two doses.
