Drugs impounded in PyinOoLwin, Tachilek, Maungtaw townships

At 6 am on 21 August, a combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force searched a house of Ma Eaint (aka) Eaint Thitsar Soe and captured 582 stimulant tablets in No 7 Ward of PyinOoLwin township.
According to the investigation, at 12 noon on the same day, Police examined the house of Soe Zaw Thaw (aka) Soe Zaw (aka) Dedi. They captured 23,000 stimulant tablets with his wife, Ma Htay Htay Maw (aka) Soe May and a motorbike in the compound of his house.
Afterwards, at 4:30 pm, a combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force stopped and searched a motorbike driven by Lynyie near Loitawkham village in Tachilek township and seized 4,000 stimulant tablets and 0.03 kilogramme of heroin.
In addition, at 11:15 am, Police seized suspected Khaing Kyaw Moe by motorbike, 8,970 stimulant tablets and 0.075 kilogramme of stimulant powder on the Maungtaw- Buthidaung Road in Maungtaw township.
The suspects are prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, it is learnt. — MNA
