Drugs seized in some townships

Marijuana, opium and heroin were seized in Mohnyin, Botahtaung and Ywangan townships, according to the Myanmar Police Force.
A combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force stopped and searched a motorbike driven by San Win Kyi (aka) Apu on the Mohnyin-Hopin Road in Mohyin Township. They captured 0.891 kilogramme of heroin at 11 am on 8 June.
Similarly, at 11 pm on 7 June, a combined team led by the Yangon Region Police Force searched a flat in Botahtaung Township and arrested Myat Min Htike, Kyaw Min Thein, Htet Ko Oo, Zaw Zaw, Htet Naing Min and Htin Aung Linn (a) Waso with 20.7 kilogrammes of marijuana and K0.35 million.
On 7 June at 5:40 pm, police seized 6.71 kilogrammes of heroin and 7.5 kilogrammes of raw opium from a Nissan Diesel car driven by Myint Hlaing (aka) Pauksa accompanied by Han Htet Nyein aboard at the Covid-19 checkpoint on the Ywangan-Han Myintmo Road of Ywangan Township.
According to the investigation, at 7 pm on the same day, trafficker Wai Lwin Oo was arrested with a Toyota Hilux car there.
The suspects are being prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, the Myanmar Police Force stated. — MNA
