Drugs seized in some townships

A combined team consisting of members of the Taninthayi Region Police Force examined a motorbike driven by Saw Aye accompanied by Kyaw San Lin near Yengangyi village in Bokpyin Township at 5 pm on 1 September and seized 2,000 stimulant tablets.
In addition, at 10:50 pm on 2 September, a combined team including the Anti-Narcotic Task Force Police searched an express bus near Wetwun Village of PyinOoLwin Township and captured 29,250 stimulant tablets.
Similarly, at 6 pm on the same day, Police searched a motorbike driven by Tu Ja on Lashio-Muse Union Highway near Oriental tollgate in Muse township and seized 1,800 stimulant tablets.
The suspects are prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, according to the MPF. — MNA
