Drugs seized in Ywangan and Loilem townships of Shan State

A combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force stopped and searched an AD Van at the Myogyi village checkpoint of Ywangan township at 11 am on 9 November. A total of 11.1 kilogrammes of raw opium were found in the car.
At 1:35 pm on 10 November, Myanmar Police Force searched an express bus and arrested a passenger, Ko Than Than Aung, with 10 kilogrammes of Ice worth K140 million on the Loilem-Taunggyi Road in Loilem township.
The suspects are prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, the Myanmar Police Force stated. — MNA
