At Dairy Cow Breeding Project (Htonbo), an official reported on breeding progress, feeding green feed to animals with hydroponic fodder and distribution of milk.
In his speech, the Senior General said it is necessary to focus on welfare measures for the breeding tasks. The dairy cow farm needs to supply the milk and dairy product demand for the 1.5 million population of Mandalay City.
Quality milk and meat at fairer prices must be sold. Efforts must be made for reducing the import of milk and dairy products and produce the products meeting local demand.
It is necessary to seek the consultation of experts on the effectiveness of feeds over the growth rate of cows and milk. Initiatives must be taken for achieving success in the implementation of the project for meeting the local demand for milk and meat on one hand.
The Senior General then visited the project site and left the necessary instructions.
