Elephant performance show held in Moscow for 75th Anniversary Myanmar-Russia Diplomatic Relations

In marking the 75th Anniversary (Diamond Jubilee) of the establishment of the Myanmar-Russia diplomatic relations, the elephant performance show and the commemorative photo show were held at Grandpa Durov’s Corner Animal Theatre in Moscow, Russia, on 22 February and shows were conducted by the Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Moscow (Russia), the Russian government and Grandpa Durov’s Corner Animal Theatre.
At the ceremony, Mr Sergey Cheremin, Minister of the Moscow City Government and Head of the Moscow City foreign economic and international relations department, U Lwin Oo, Ambassador of Myanmar to the Russian Federation, Nikolay Nozdrev, Director-General of the Third Asian Department (3AD) of Russian Foreign Ministry, and Mrs Natalia Durova, Art director of the Grandpa Durov’s Corner Theatre gave greeting speeches.
Afterwards, three Myanmar elephants, together with other young animals, entertained the audience with dance. The elephants are about ten years old and they were presented by Myanmar on 19 December 2018 marking the 70th anniversary of Myanmar-Russia diplomatic ties. — MNA/MKKS
