SAC Member DPM Union Defence Minister General Mya Tun Oo inspects sunflower fields, factories in Kalay and Sagaing

State Administration Council Member Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Defence General Mya Tun Oo accompanied by SAC Member Dr Hmu Htan, Union ministers, the Sagaing Region chief minister, the North-West Command commander, deputy ministers and officials inspected sunflower fields grown by farmers in Phaungkuu Village, Inntaigyi Village-Tract, Kalay Township, yesterday morning.
The Deputy Prime Minister coordinated with the officials on the farmers’ presentations and presented pesticide bottles and sunflower seeds to the farmers.
Next, they inspected the construction status of Phaungseik Road in Phaungkuu Village, Inntaigyi Village-Tract, Kalay Township, and coordinated the necessary matters.
In the afternoon, they arrived at the Thuta Thuka Fertilizer Factory in Padamyar Industrial Zone in Sagaing, and observed the production process of Zarmani compound fertilizer.
The State Administration Council Member Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Defence and party met regional, district and township level departmental staff, education, and health officials and cordially greeted the attendees and presented sports equipment and foodstuffs. — MNA/KZL
