The Ayeyawady Times media is circulating misinformation that a nine-year-old boy from Letpanchaung village was killed and at least six civilians were wounded when Tatmadaw opened fire on Kalay Township (North), Sagaing Region on the morning of 3 January.
According to a resident, there have been no shootings near the village these days, and PDF terrorists occasionally use hand-made mortars. Although there have been drone attacks, these days the villagers are regularly carrying out rice harvesting and threshing measures. Similarly, AA sources said that four civilians, including three children, were wounded when the military opened fire on Kanthaya (Upper) village, Maungtaw Township, Rakhine State on 4 January.
Khit Thit media is spreading false information on social networking sites, and after contacting a person in charge of security in the relevant area, Tatmadaw did not fire heavy weapons at that village. AA insurgents fired heavy weapons into the villages of the security forces, injuring the people. The malicious media is poisoning the public by spreading propaganda on social networks about events that do not have accurate information sources to destroy the peace of the community and the rule of law. — MNA/KZL
