False information is spreading on social networks to mislead the public that Tatmadaw and AA armed insurgents are fighting fiercely, and more than 60 houses in Yanbye have been burned down due to the Tatmadaw’s airstrikes and heavy fire in Yanbye, Rakhine State.
AA armed insurgents attacked the military and security bases by dropping bombs with drones and shooting wildly with heavy weapons. There have been cases of explosions falling into villages and destroying homes. In addition, AA armed insurgents are attacking civilian buildings and people who are not military targets, and according to the statements of the local people, they burned houses to prevent the security forces from attacking them during the retreat.
The malicious news media is purposefully circulating false news on social networks to scare the people, cause instability in the country, and tarnish the reputation of Tatmadaw. — MNA/KZL
