A malicious news media, Western News has been spreading fake news on social media that houses and shops in Minbya and Yanbye, Rakhine State, have been burnt down due to Tatmadaw’s heavy weapon fire.
Tatmadaw and AA insurgents exchanged fires in Minbya township at around 4 am on 2 January, and the insurgents were injured and they retreated, an official said. According to a security official in the relevant area, there was no attack by the Tatmadaw using heavy weapons and aircraft on Minbya and Yanbye.
Therefore, as a malicious news media, it is only a purposeful propaganda attack to harm the stability and peace of the national government and cause fear and panic among the local ethnic people. — MNA/KZL
