Tatmadaw denies airlifting leaders of online money fraud group reports

Khit Thit Media is spreading fake news and crafting propaganda, claiming that the leaders of the group involved in online scam in Laukkai are being airlifted by helicopter.
As part of national efforts to combat online scam, laws have been enacted to prevent gambling. We are actively investigating and identifying individuals engaged in online cheating. Effective actions are being taken against those involved in gambling, including arrests, and against individuals conducting online fraud operations from foreign countries. Repatriation is being conducted following the procedures of the relevant countries, and these measures are being reported promptly.
Nevertheless, malicious news media and certain ethnic armed groups exploit the state for online fraud. Such fake news is circulated to mislead the public and the international community regarding the State and the military, as if not taking legal action against gambling. — MNA/KZW
