124 1

Misinformation about urging residents to contribute K2,000 per household to support the militia unit at some villages of eastern Bago Region on the evening of 24 November from the administration organizations was announced by the speaker and threatened and this kind of threat is normal to collect the money stated by the Kawa locals spreading on social media.
Concerning this false news, one of the authorities from the Bago Region administration stated that this is just false information and it used the locals’ innocence and only intended to cause misunderstanding.
Therefore, various forms of false news on social media are being spread by subversive media outlets that support violence to threaten citizens and to misunderstand administrators. — MNA/TRKM
