To attract more Chinese tourists to Myanmar, the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism is organizing a familiarization trip (FAM Trip) for a group of media personnel, influencers, bloggers and tourism players from China, according to Deputy Director-General U Zeya Myo Aung.
The group invited for the FAM Trip is expected to arrive in January next year and will consist of about 40 people, he explained.
“In particular, tourism companies working for Myanmar tours in Yunnan Province will be invited. Influencers and media personnel from both state and private broadcasters are also included. We expect about 40 guests in total”, he added.
The main objective of the trip is to make known the real situation of normal accessibility to tourist destinations in Myanmar such as Yangon, Bagan and Mandalay.
“By organizing such a trip, we also think that the misunderstanding about Myanmar can be reduced to a certain extent. So, we’ve invited them to come and see for themselves. Not only the invitees but also other people are welcome, too,” he said.
