FD initiates 5-day course on marketable mushroom, bamboo production

The opening ceremony of the course for marketable mushroom and bamboo production was held on 29 April 2024.

The Forest Department has announced the commencement of a five-day course focused on marketable mushroom and bamboo production.
Scheduled from 29 April to 3 May, the course will take place at the AFoCO Regional Education and Training Centre (RETC) in Hmawby township.
Ms Soo Zin Yang, Programme Officer at the AFoCO Secretariat, highlighted the course’s objective, aiming to address the basic needs of forest-dependent communities, enhance local capacity in forest resource conservation, and promote public engagement.
Subject matter experts from the Department of Forestry and relevant universities will conduct the sessions. Twenty-four participants from Nay Pyi Taw, Bago region, Magway region, Mon state, Yangon region, and Ayeyawady region are attending the course. — TWA/TRKM
