One JV with capital of US$1 mln approved in Bago Region in April

Bago Region Investment Committee (BRIC) meeting 2/2024 was held on 29 April 2024.

The Bago Region Investment Committee (BRIC) gave the green light to one joint venture with an estimated capital of US$1 million, creating 60 jobs for locals.
Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win emphasized at the meeting that the factories in the designated area of the industrial park are given priority for investments. He also instructed the officials concerned to coordinate the related departments to ensure smooth licensing procedures and facilitate the operations of the industries.
The labour-intensive businesses such as CMP enterprises and import-substitution businesses with local products will be prioritized, he said.
Investments in the Bago region primarily flow from the manufacturing business. The BRIC has attracted foreign direct investments of US$199.015 million and domestic investments of over K81 billion and created a total of 11,597 jobs for locals. — TWA/KK
