Foreign investment worth US$3.73 mln flowed into business in April

According to the statistics of the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA), there was only one foreign direct investment (FDI) business that entered Myanmar in April.
The DICA stated that the foreign investment in the amount of US$3.73 million was made in order to operate a business in the manufacturing sector.
A total of $5.99 million entered in the same period of the last financial year, exceeding over $2 million more than this year.
In the 2022–2023 financial year, Myanmar attracted foreign direct investments worth more than $1.6 billion, and investment of Singapore amounted to more than $1.1 billion as the largest amount, followed by China and Thailand. — TWA/CT
