Fuel sold at K1,785 per litre lower than reference price

Some filling stations in Yangon are selling fuel oil at K1,785 on 12 December although the reference retail price for 92 Ron is set at K1,805 per litre, according to taxi drivers.
The oil price has been falling from K1,900 for five consecutive days since 8 December in the fuel market and the reference price of 92 Ron per litre was released on 12 December to sell at the rate of over K1,805 per litre.
Stations in Mandalay, Nay Pyi Taw, Bago, Magway, Pathein, Dawei, Monywa, Hpa-an, Mawlamyine, Lashio, Taunggyi and Loikaw are selling 92 Ron at the rate of over K1,800 per litre whereas those in Myitkyina and Sittway are selling it at the rate of over K1,900, and over K2,000 in Haka and Kengtung.
According to the statement of fuel reference prices released on 12 December, the retail prices in Yangon are K1,805 for 92 Ron per litre, K1,895 for 95 Ron per litre, K2,185 for HSD (500 ppm) per litre, K2,260 for HSD (50 ppm) and HSD (10 ppm).
In addition, the reference wholesale prices released by the Supervisory Committee on Fuel Oil Import, Storage and Distribution are K1,713 for 92 Ron per litre, K1,802 for 95 Ron per litre, K2,082 for HSD (500 ppm) per litre and K2,155 for HSD (50 ppm) and HSD (10 ppm) per litre in Yangon Region. – TWA/MKKS
