Gold plates to be donated at Myathalun Pagoda, tender to be called for salvaging gold dust

A gold plates will be offered to the whole structure of Myathalun Pagoda in Magway, and tenders will be called for the first time for salvaging gold dust, according to the Pagoda board of Trustees.
The gold obtained from the gold dust will be fixed on the 210 copper plates at the banana-bud part of the pagoda at the rate of 1.5 ticals of gold per copper plate.
According to the Pagoda Trustees, tenders will be started on 7 April for the work of salvaging gold dust, and all the work of donating gold plates to the pagoda will be completed by September this year. During the recent Mann Shwesettaw Pagoda Festival, pilgrims can register to stay for free at the lodgings of Magway Myathalun Pagoda. — TWA/KZL
