Government of the People’s Republic of China donates one million doses of Sinovac vaccines to Myanmar-China border cities

The handover ceremony of one million doses of Sinovac vaccines donated by the Government of the People’s Republic of China to five Myanmar-China border cities in Myanmar was held at the Yunnan Centre for Disease Control and Prevention on 11 January.
At the ceremony, Mr Xiao Fenghuai, Deputy Commissioner of the Ministry of Commerce, Special Commissioner’s Office in Kunming explained the reasons for donating vaccines and U Thaw Tar Aung, Consul-General of Myanmar in Kunming expressed words of appreciation for the donation.
Afterwards, Mr Hao Yishan, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Commerce of Yunnan Province briefed the donation and announced that one million doses of Sinovac vaccines will be transported to Myanmar via border posts on 11 January.
The donated one million doses of Sinovac vaccines will be distributed to five Myanmar-China border cities in Myanmar on 12 January. — MNA
