The news that the Republic of Korea will recruit more Myanmar workers in 2024, for both female and male for the first time, has sparked interest among the young population.
“This is the first time Korea has invited Myanmar female workers and it is a real opportunity for us. We can now go overseas to work. Many of my friends are interested and plan to attend the training,” said a young woman learning Korean language.
Amid the growing interest, many have started to prepare.

Eligibility requirements include age between 18 and 39, no criminal record, no ban on leaving the mother country for a foreign country, no overstay in the Republic of Korea and no person who has lived in the Republic of Korea more than five years under E-9, E-10 visas.
