GTI (Insein) produces qualified technicians in EV

Deputy Minister for Science and Technology Dr Aung Zeya looks into the conducting of No 3 Training of Trainers Course on Electric Vehicles at the Government Technical Institute (Insein) on 1 July.

Deputy Minister for Science and Technology Dr Aung Zeya visited the Department of Technical, Vocational Education and Training at the Government Technical Institute (Insein) on 1 July and inspected the opening of No 3 Training of Trainers Course on Electric Vehicles.
During the inspection, the principal of the GTI (Insein) explained the training measures on EV courses, and the information on teaching aid and training infrastructure updates. The Deputy Minister then stressed the need to fill up equipment that meets the standards, improve the quality within the specified period, fully teach the subjects on the EV charging system and charger types, teach effectively with the materials being imported, and encourage the production of qualified technicians in EV by continuously conducting the TOT (Training of Trainers) courses and multiplier courses.
After that, the Deputy Minister warmly greeted the trainees and urged them to share experiences and knowledge what they had learned, make efforts to share knowledge, and continue to study when they returned to their respective departments after completion of the training.
EV courses have been opened at the Government Technical Institute (Insein) since 15 December 2022, and have turned out 45 trainees who graduated from two TOT courses, 15 from a TOT refresher course, and 31 from a regular multiplier course. — MNA/CT
