“I am Daw Myint Aye, Thanbyuzayat Township Education Officer. I served my duties in this township on 1 June 2021. In our township, we will vaccinate a total of 7,674 students—1,690 high school students and 5,984 middle school students over the aged of 12. We will conduct vaccination at the schools with seven groups. There are 16 school families and 58 schools and so there would be 58 vaccination sites. We will vaccinate at the schools and so we have already collected the lists of students, designated the vaccination area and places to stay for a while after vaccination in advance under the arrangement of the respective headmasters or headmistresses. We also make preparations like cleansing the school compounds, classrooms and toilets to reopen the schools. We arrange the classroom social distancing. The township and district level officials inspected our preparations. We distributed the masks and face shields to the students. We are ready to reopen to schools. We, teachers, received the vaccines. We are glad that the children are safe if the schools are reopened as they are vaccinated against COVID-19.
The vaccines can prevent the parents from being anxious when we reopen the schools. Therefore, I want to say thank you to all officials for conducting vaccination programmes on behalf of the Thanbyuzayat township education sector.—Thida Win (IPRD)/GNLM
