Help develop agriculture and livestock farms

Article

As agriculture and livestock farms are the most basic for the State economy, an emphasis is being placed on manufacturing the goods made of agricultural and livestock products.
Not only businesspersons but people from all strata have the chance to engage in businesses at different levels. Micro, small and medium-scale enterprises are being operated for manufacturing, trading, services and others. People have the chance to operate their businesses on a manageable scale. Some of them can expand their work establishments to manage MSME industries. MSMEs and cottage industries are the basic strata for the gradually booming regional economy and then the State economy.
The operation of businesses and industries will help decline the prices of commodities. Hiking prices are based on high production charges and an imbalance of supply and demand in the market. High price harms the security of the State as well as peace and stability.
Myanmar emphasizes the sufficiency of agricultural produce and livestock products. These are the main factors to ensure the food sufficiency of the country. A surplus of food can be exported for earning income for the State. Myanmar pockets foreign exchange in earning income in the export of rice to the international market. Rural people are engaged in the cultivation of monsoon and summer paddy, pulses and beans and oil crops through mix-cropping and double-cropping patterns.
Double and triple cropping systems help increase agricultural production. Moreover, cultivable lands must be efficiently utilized for the growing of quality strains of crops. If efforts can be made to increase agricultural production, these will be raw agricultural produce for MSME industries.
The manufacturing sector can be operated with the use of domestic raw materials. If businesspersons can produce an adequate volume of consumer products at home, it can reduce the import of goods from abroad.
On the other hand, livestock breeding farms have adequate feedstuffs as well as vast pasturelands. Hence, systematic livestock farms can help export their products to earn foreign exchange. Particularly, efforts should be made to successfully operate livestock farms in Nay Pyi Taw Council in order to meet the local demand.

Both agriculture and livestock farming works are reliable for the improvement of the State economy and meeting the local demand. Value-added products in livestock farms will help earn increased incomes. As these will be a factor to develop the State economy as well as conserve the natural environment as much as they can, all farmers need to make the best efforts for the improvement of the agriculture sector without fail.
