Qatar Embassy organizes Sporting Event on Sideline of FIFA World Cup 2022

Chargés d’affaires ad interim of the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Dr Rashid Abdulla Al-Kuwari organized a sporting event on 1 November 2022 at Wyndham Grand Yangon Hotel on the sideline of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
The event was attended by heads of diplomatic missions in Myanmar besides embassy staff families and honourable guests.
The event was opened by playing the Myanmar national anthem followed by the FIFA World Cup 2022 theme songs.
Officials and youths showed their football skills on the artificial turf during the event.
The first World Cup tourney in the Middle East and Arab world will take place in Qatar and kick off in less than 18 days from 20 November 2022 to 18 December which is also Qatar’s National Day.
Since Qatar has won the right to host the World Cup, it immediately started a race against time to fulfil its commitment to the hosting file and to organize an exceptional edition of the Football World Cup.With unique attractions, spectacular, eight state-of-the-art stadiums, and a bonus of traditional Arabic hospitality, it promises to host a tournament like no other.
