Collaborating with the Department of Archaeology and National Museum (Bagan Branch), the Bagan Heritage Trust Team has taken measures such as weed suppression through spraying, repairing mortar cracks, sealing openings vulnerable to bird entry, and installing security screens.
Emphasizing their focus on weed control within the compounds of eight pagodas in Taungbi and Bagan Myothit, U Myint Naing said the repair work started at the beginning of December. The commitment to preserving ancient pagodas will persist through continued collaboration with the Department of Archaeology and National Museum.
