Heroin, stimulant tablets and Ice valued at over K1.57 billion seized in Kalay township

According to the Myanmar Police Force confiscated heroin, stimulant tablets, and Ice (methamphetamine) worth over K1.57 billion were confiscated in Kalay township of Sagaing Region.
Acting on a tip-off, the Anti-Drug Police Force searched a LIFAN three-wheel motorbike driven by Thein Zaw, accompanied by Mant Shin Toung, near Doewine Creek in Kalay township at 1 pm on 31 December.
During the operation, the police seized 13.75 kilogrammes of heroin, 29 kilogrammes of Ice, and 8,000 stimulant tablets with a total value exceeding K1.57 billion. The individuals involved admitted that the confiscated drugs were intended to be transported from Kalay to Tiddim.
Legal action has been taken against the offenders, and an ongoing investigation is underway to apprehend other individuals connected to the case. — MNA/MKKS
