Heroin, stimulant tablets worth over K1.6 billion seized in Myitnge, Amarapura township

More than K1.6 billion worth of stimulant tablets and heroin were confiscated in Myitnge, Amarapura Township, Mandalay Region according to the Myanmar Police Force.
At 10:30 am on 11 June, the combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force searched a Fuso Fighter six-wheel container truck driven by Bo Myaing along with Aung Min Zaw according to information and seized 40.7 kilogrammes of heroin and 400,000 stimulant tablets (estimated value of more than K1.6 billion.
After the investigation, the driver admitted that the seized drugs were to be carried from Shan State (North) to Sagaing Region. Police are investigating and the suspects are being prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, the Myanmar Police Force stated. — MNA
