Lastly, donations based on the sacrifice of life represent the pinnacle of difficulty, as they involve the complete sacrifice of the donor’s life.
Therefore, recognizing the significance of this noble act, the identification and acknowledgement of 10,000 new blood donors and 30,000 permanent blood donors this year is crucial. These individuals stand as benefactors and honourable contributors to Myanmar society, deserving the highest praise and gratitude.

In the year 2023 alone, the National Blood Centre distributed a remarkable 93,385 units of blood to hospitals. The nation boasts one national blood bank and seven blood banks affiliated with general hospitals in strategic locations in Mandalay, Magway, Mawlamyine, Myitkyina, Taunggyi, Pathein, and Nay Pyi Taw. To streamline processes, the Blood Management System (BMS) software is being implemented, ensuring a more efficient workflow.
