IDPs get second dose of COVID jabs in Sittway Township

People aged 45 and above who are taking shelters in IDP camps in Thae Chaung Village, Saythama Village-tract and Ohntawchay Village in Sittway Township received Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine for the second time.
During the vaccination, healthcare workers and officials made records for the vaccinated people.
Next health officials measured the body temperature, blood pressure and monitoring oxygen level before the vaccination.
Vaccines were given systematically to the local people, and only those with normal health conditions are vaccinated, officials said. After resting for about 30 minutes after being vaccinated, people were allowed to leave, officials said.
Males and females are segregated in a multi-purpose storm shelter building in Thae Chaung Village, and officials gave COVID-19 vaccines to males on the top floor of the building while females took the vaccines on the second floor in accordance with the COVID-19 prevention protocol.
Similarly, the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine was given to people aged 45 and over who were sheltering in IDP camps in Saythamar Village-tract and Ohntaw Village, Sittway Township.
Staff from the General Administration Department and the Information and Public Relations Department, members of the Myanmar Police Force, members of the fire brigade, members of the auxiliary fire brigade, members of the Red Cross, WardVillage Administrators, and IDP camp officials assisted in the vaccination works. For the first time since 29 August, a total of 50,000 people have been vaccinated with 50,000 doses of Sinovac vaccine distributed by the Union Government to IDPs and IDP camps in Rakhine State, officials said. — Tin Htun (IPRD)/GNLM
