Confiscated illegal commodities in Kayin State.

A combined team under the supervision of the Magway Region Illegal Trade Eradication Task Force confiscated a Honda Fit car (approximate value of K6.5 million) without official documents near Kywalthoemyaung village in Minbu township and 165 cattle (worth K165 million) without official documents from five Nissan vehicles (approximate value of K500 million), two UD cars (approximate value of K200 million), a Hino truck (approximate value of K100 million) and a Double Cab car (approximate value of K40 million) at the Ayeyawady Bridge (Malun) in Minhla township on 28 May. The action was taken under the Export and Import Law and Important Goods and Services Law.
In addition, the Myawady District Region Illegal Trade Eradication Task Force impounded three kinds of goods (worth K4.725 million) including PP bags without official documents from a Toyota HiAce car (estimated value of K13 million) near Asia highway road in Myawady township and 2,400 packages of Dreamy coffee (worth K9.6 million) without official documents at a warehouse in No 6 ward on Asia highway road in Myawady township on 4 June. The action was taken under the Forest Law and Customs procedures.
A combined team on duty at the Mayanchaung permanent checkpoint confiscated 160 81-inch stand fans (worth K4 million) that were not declared in the Import Declaration (ID) from a Mitsubishi Fuso tractor head and a trailer (estimated value of K45 million) heading to Yangon from Myawady on 4 June. The action was taken under Customs procedures.
Therefore, seven arrests (estimated value of K1,087,825,000) were made on 28 May and 4 June, according to the Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee. — MNA/MKKS
