v Age is full of care …
v Age like winter weather …
Age like winter bare …
Age is weak and cold …
William Shakespeare said so years ago.
v Morning, noon and evening of life
I have struggled with all the might
As I’ve walked a thorny way
Getting old, infirm and frail today.
v Though want to be in a cheerful mood
Present days are, for me, to brood
As I passed through a day’s journey
I’m now feeling weary with drudgery.
v Considering myself as a life’s reject
My life is like a sunset
Hoping to get preference and priority
Shouldn’t be denied even a little amenity.
v Not want to be in a desperate plight
Before my exit from this life
Craving for my offspring’s filial duty
For the last leg of life’s journey.
v Do not care who’ll show sympathy
Had better go on retreat at the monastery
Do things best, whatever it may be
Younger days never come back to me.
