Khit Thit media fabricates civilian fatality in Thingan-Nyinaung by Tatmadaw’s heavy weapon

The malicious Khit Thit media deliberately circulates fake news on social media that on 2 February, a child was killed and at least five others were wounded by the explosion of the heavy weapon shelled by the Tatmadaw in a section of Asia Highway between Thingan-Nyinaung tactical operations base and Ywathitgon Village in Myawady Township, Kayin State.
However, a security official responsible for the area confirmed no fire occurred in Thingan-Nyinaung military base and Ywathitgon Village on 2 February. On the contrary, the KNLA insurgents and PDF terrorists launched heavy weapons targeting the military base security outposts, which actually landed in the villages and killed the civilians.
