Independence Day, National Day of Bangladesh celebrated in Yangon

Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs U Kyaw Myo Htut, diplomats from foreign embassies in Yangon, representatives of UN agencies and invitees attended ceremonies of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh’s Independence Day and National Day held at Wyndham Grand Yangon Hotel in Yangon yesterday.
First, Bangladeshi Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Manjurul Karim Khan Chowdhury and officials warmly welcomed the dignitaries.
Next, the ceremony began with the National Anthems of Myanmar and Bangladesh.
Then, the Yangon Region chief minister, the deputy minister for MoFA and the ambassador cut a cake to mark Independence Day and National Day ceremonies of Bangladesh after the Bangladeshi ambassador extended greetings.
And then, the ambassador and his wife had documentary photo taken together with the attendees and hosted a dinner to the guests. — MNA/KZL
