India-Myanmar Friendship Association hosts Women Prestige Awards 2024 Ceremony

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), the gathering of the India-Myanmar Friendship Association and the ceremony to present outstanding women with the Women Prestige Awards 2024 took place at the Myanmar embassy in New Delhi, India, on 4 February.
Attendees included diplomats from friendly countries, members of the India-Myanmar Friendship Association, Indian business organizations and entrepreneurs, as well as friends and family members.
During his speech at the event, the Myanmar Ambassador highlighted that the Myanmar embassy spearheaded the establishment of the India-Myanmar Friendship Association with a view to strengthening friendship, trust, understanding, and interrelations between the people of India and Myanmar. He also mentioned the embassy’s close collaboration with association members to achieve its aims and objectives.
At the ceremony, 11 Women Prestige Awards 2024 were presented to women who have demonstrated strong capabilities and are actively involved in social welfare work. Following the award ceremony, the guests were treated to traditional Indian songs and dances, followed by a lunch reception. — ASH/TKO
