NUAC (Mandalay) hosts academic research symposium 1/2024

Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs and Culture Daw Nu Mra Zan, Director-General of the Fine Arts Department, Rector of NUAC Mandalay, pro-rectors, scholars from the literature and arts fields, professors, heads of the departments, members of higher education, authors of the research, teachers, staff, and other invitees attended the academic research symposium conducted by the ministry.
The deputy minister highlighted six academic research studies presented at the symposium that were deemed necessary for the university. She emphasized the need for international research that applies to real-life situations, given the rapid spread of cultural currents across countries. Additionally, it’s essential to understand different cultures without compromising our own and to share them with future generations. The importance of showcasing Myanmar’s traditional cultures to the world was also stressed.
Following this, the rector elucidated the objectives of the symposium.
Subsequently, Myanmar tutors Daw Ei Kuu, music tutor U Min Min Myat, assistant lecturer Daw Myint Myint Aye, painting tutor Daw Myint Myint Win, lecturer Daw Myat Thiri Aung, and the movie and play tutor Daw Zin Thu Maung Maung presented their respective researches related to their expertise fields and engaged in discussions with the guests.
After the discussions concluded, the deputy minister inspected the paintings and sculpture galleries at Myinzuthaka Hall of the National University of Arts and Culture Mandalay and made necessary arrangements. — MNA/TRKM
