The first coordination meeting of the Information Working Committee on IDPs Resettlement and Closure of IDP Camps in progress yesterday.

The Information Working Committee on IDPs Resettlement and Closure of IDP Camps organized the 1/2021 coordination meeting at Ministry of Information yesterday.
During the meeting, Deputy Minister for Information U Ye Tint, Chairman of the committee, made an opening remark.
He said the government provides necessary things to the IDPs regarding their keeps, education, health and social-related matters while they are at the camps. There are also international assistance and local aids. The officials also make arrangements for the IDPs to ensure their food and accommodation when they return to their regions.
The respective state and regional governments rebuild their homes, provide rations and other commodities to them. Therefore, it is important to provide information to local people and the international community regarding such activities. The media should share the real activities as some spread fake information.
Then, the secretary and members of the committee presented the news coverage on the resettlement of IDPs and closure of IDP camps and work plans to conduct education programmes. — MNA
