K430 million worth of stimulant tablets captured in Lashio township

A total of 860,000 stimulant tablets worth K430 million was captured in Lashio township in Shan State, according to the Myanmar Police Force.
Acting on a tip-off, a combined team consisting of the members of the Anti-Drug Police Force arrested Tu Naing, Khun Jet (aka) Li Hauk, Archon (aka) Lyo Pein Chon, Yaw Kyein Shant and Lauk Shone together with 860,000 stimulant tablets and three vehicles in No 4 ward in Lashio at 9 pm on 21 June.
After an interrogation, the offenders admitted that the seized drugs were to be carried from Mongyai to Lashio.
Legal action has been taken against the offenders and an investigation is under way to expose those who were involved in the case. — MNA/MKKS
