Local people receive 2nd dose of COVID vaccines in Monywa

Healthcare officials gave the first batch of the second COVID-19 vaccines in Monywa Township, Sagaing Region, according to the Township COVID-19 Disease Control and Emergency Response Committee.
In Monywa Township, those who completed the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine (Sinopharm) were vaccinated for the second time on 31 August at the Regional Public Health Department.
Vaccinations were given to monks and nuns over the age of 65, people over the age of 18, including civil servants and private healthcare workers, bank employees, industrialists and workers, hotels, motels, and guesthouse business employers and staff, workers in the transport industry, and vendors under the supervision of the Township Development Affairs Committee, members from social welfare organizations and people from a total of 17 villages.
The township police, township fire brigade and departmental officials and humanitarian organizations assisted in the vaccination work.
To date, 12,508 people in Monywa Township have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine (Sinopharm), according to the COVID-19 disease control and emergency response committee. —Htein Lin (Monywa)/GNLM
