The Shwedagon Pagoda Board of Trustees will celebrate Maha Samaya Day on the full moon day of Nayon on 13 June and will ring the bells on the pagoda platform at the same time marking the peace.
The board of trustees will donate early alms to the Shwedagon Pagoda and Sayadaws during the ceremony.
The Sayadaws will deliver sermons regarding the emergence of Maha Samaya Day at the guest pavilion of the southern stairway and share merits, and religious organizations and pagoda staff will go around the pagoda by a clockwise procession in two groups.
Then, the Maha Samaya Day ceremony will be held at Chanthagyi Tazaung at the Yahu corner. — TWA/GNLM
