The screenshot validates misinformation.

While the clash between security forces and KIA insurgents occurred in Waingmaw Township, Kachin State, the malicious media intentionally spread false information online, claiming that the security forces fired artillery shells that exploded in Khatcho village in Waingmaw Township. Six people died, and 11 were hurt on 20 May.
According to a security official, KIA insurgents intentionally launched attacks against the security members and outposts using heavy weapons aiming at creating fear among the public, and the security forces did not fire artillery shells into the village.
In this regard, fake news was reportedly spread through malicious media, defaming the security forces. — MNA/KTZH
