Member of the State Administration Council Porel Aung Thein awarded a championship trophy to the Mandalay Region team in the Inter-State/Region Traditional Chinlone Championship 2023 yesterday.
In the final match, Mandalay Region beat Yangon Region in the men’s event.
Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr Thet Thet Khine and SAC Members U Shwe Kyein and Khun San Lwin presented the third prize to Ayeyawady Region in the women’s event, the second prize to Yangon Region and the first prize to Mandalay Region respectively.
SAC Member Daw Dwe Bu and Myanmar Chinlone Federation President U Thet Lwin gave individual medals and cash awards to the best women’s player award and the best men’s player award to Ma Khaing Thazin Phyo of Yangon Region and Maung Zaw Lin Maung of Yangon Region respectively.
Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan and SAC Members Dr Ba Shwe and Dr Hmu Thang presented individual medals and cash awards to third, second and first prize winning teams in the men’s event respectively.
The championship was participated by 186 athletes from 12 men’s and six women’s teams. — MNA/TTA
