Mandalay Region govt donates nutritional supplements to fasting Muslims

Donations of nutritional supplements progress in yesterday in Mandalay.

According to Islamic tradition, Muslims in the mosques of Mandalay have been fasting since 11 March, with nutritional supplements being donated to them every year.
Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung, Central Command Commander Maj-Gen Kyi Khaing, and officials donated nutritional supplements to the fasting Muslims individually at Joon Mosque, located at 27 Street, between 81st and 82nd Roads in Chan Aye Tha San Township, yesterday.
Fasting began at Joon Mosque on 11 March and will continue until 10 April. The Mandalay Region government donates nutritional supplements to fasting Muslims every year. — MNA/TH
