Mandalay Region greenlights 2 citizen-owned investments, generating 319 jobs

Dr Min Zaw Oo, Director of the Mandalay Region Directorate of Investment and Company Administration, announced that two Myanmar citizen-owned investments, capable of providing 319 job opportunities, were approved in January 2024.
The capital amounts for the new investments were K4,368.411 million, as indicated in the report.
Dr Min Zaw Oo stated, “The Mandalay Region Investment Committee’s 1/2024 meeting on 12 January gave the green light to the two investments run by Myanmar nationals. The construction period of another investment by a Myanmar citizen has also been extended.”
The report highlights that in 2023 in Mandalay Region, the Myanmar Investment Commission permitted 14 businesses and 10 by the Mandalay Region Investment Commission.
The Mandalay Region Investment Commission issues monthly permits for new Myanmar national investments and foreign investments that will create more employment opportunities in Mandalay Region under the laws, rules, and regulations. — ASH/TMT
